YouTube creators publish solo Insane guides (portrait, TheWhiteBeard, Yahaha). Those are community strategies—we have not verified them on every account.

What difficulty modes exist in Cameraman Tower Defense?

After you queue on a map platform, the lobby votes among Easy, Normal, Hard, and Insane. Each card lists wave count, lobby Coin reward, a rarity recommendation, and a crate bonus line. CTD Tips pulled these numbers from Update 3 gameplay frames—not from a published dev chart.

Mode Waves Win Coins (voting UI) Unit hint on card Crate bonus (capture A)
Easy 20 100 Basic+ x1 2%
Normal 30 200 Uncommon+ x1 4%
Hard 35 300 Epic+ x1 6%
Insane 50 600 Legendary+ x1 10%

Capture A comes from MeddysonTD’s voting screen at 150s. Capture B (Phonix, 35s) shows the same wave and Coin values but lists Insane crate bonus as x1 – 20% instead of 10%. UI text can change between patches—read your card at vote time.

What does Easy mode teach you?

Easy is the shortest route: 20 waves and 100 Coins on the card we captured. A Toilet City Easy win in the same video paid 400 Coins total after 100 match + 100 “2x event” + 100 coin boost lines—event multipliers stack on top of the base 100 shown on the vote card.

How hard is Hard mode in practice?

Hard adds five waves versus Normal and pays 300 Coins on the vote card. Gamz_Tree’s Hard footage shows Wave 1 with a Large Cameraman level 1 panel ($300 upgrade cost, $200 hotbar slot).

Community Hard guides (Gamz_Tree, AMAN4NK, portrait) exist on YouTube; treat them as optional references, not guarantees for your roster.

What changes on Insane mode?

Insane runs 50 waves for 600 Coins on the card. Late-game footage from TheWhiteBeard shows Wave 33 with Titan Cinemaman level 5 and a $17,000 upgrade price—expect steep scaling costs, not just longer waves.

How do modes tie into rewards and codes?

Win Coins feed Shop crates and packs; codes add 50 Coins each when active—see all codes. Map choice (for example Toilet City) is separate from mode vote—read maps.
