FAQ

How many units are in Cameraman Tower Defense?
Vaulted Values X opens its Update 3 tier video with “all 30 units” ranked. The table below lists those same 30 names from that tier video and their how-to-get guide, including Speakerman with no crate slot named in their reads.
How do you get mythic units in Cameraman Tower Defense?
Vaulted Values X reports mythics on the basic crate mythic slot at 0.1% per pull when that slot is active, rotating Titan Cinemaman, Upgraded Titan Speakerman, Glitch Cameraman, Upgraded Brute Prototype, and Upgraded Video Tapper Prototype. The same three prototypes also appear in a paid pack per their narration.
What is the mythic chance on the basic coin crate?
Vaulted Values X reads the mythic slot at 0.1% per summon (about 1 in 1,000 pulls) and cites roughly 90,000 coins on average with ten-pull pricing—not a guarantee. Double Luck and luck potions change displayed odds on slots under 10% in their examples.
Can you buy Cameraman Tower Defense units with Robux?
Vaulted Values X and shop footage show Robux Scientist Crates, Jetpack Pack, Update Units Pack, and a prototype bundle. Several paid units also rotate on the coin crate; see the paid section on this page and the shop guide.
Which crate has TV Spider?
The Exclusive Spider Crate uses gems. Vaulted Values X lists TV Spider at 0.2% alongside Speaker Spider and Camera Spider; MeddysonTD shop frames show 90%, 9.8%, and 0.2% on the odds board.
Is the basic crate lineup the same for everyone?
Vaulted Values X says six slots each hold one unit at a time and the full lineup rotates on a lobby timer. They disagree on whether that timer is about 20 or 30 minutes—only the in-game countdown is authoritative.

What units are in Cameraman Tower Defense and where does each one come from?

Vaulted Values X (VVX) (how to get every unit) and MeddysonTD shop or inventory frames (TV Spider, TV Woman / Scientist pulls) are the sources below. Numbers read from on-screen UI are labeled as frame readouts; narration quotes use the creator name; our arithmetic shows the formula and was recomputed with a script. CTD Tips did not re-run summons or wins to verify odds. For power rankings, use the tier list and best units pages—this page is how to obtain each name.

Vaulted Values X titles its Update 3 tier video “All 30 units.” The table lists 30 distinct names from that tier video plus the acquisition guide. Speakerman appears in their D-tier filler talk, but Vaulted Values X says plain Speakerman never showed up in any crate lineup they read (~02:07)—we list it with source unknown, not a fabricated drop rate.

How does the basic coin crate work?

Vaulted Values X says the lobby basic crate uses 100 coins per summon and 900 coins for 10 summons—our arithmetic: ten singles would cost 1,000 coins, so each ten-pull saves 100 coins (900 ÷ 10 = 90 coins effective per pull when batching).

Six slots each hold one unit at a time, and the whole lineup rotates on a timer Vaulted Values X reads at the top of the panel. Conflict: the how-to-get video ~00:32 says about every 30 minutes; the tier video ~01:32 says every 20 minutes. Treat the in-game countdown as authoritative—do not farm coins for a mythic that is not currently sitting in its slot.

Slot tier (VVX readout) Reported per-pull rate VVX cited average coin cost (ten-pull math)
Mythic 0.1% ~90,000 coins
Legendary 1% ~9,000 coins
Epic 4% ~2,250 coins
Bottom two slots 80% of pulls combined Filler commons/uncommons
Basic + uncommon + rare (pool) ~95% combined (tier video ~05:06) Most summons land here

Double Luck (gamepass) doubles only slots under 10%, Vaulted Values X says—mythic average falls to ~45,000 coins in their example (~01:35). With Double Luck + luck potion, they report 3× displayed odds on those slots and ~30,000 coin mythic average. Our arithmetic: at 0.1% per pull, 100,000 coins buys about 1,111 ten-pull summons at 900 coins each (100000 ÷ 900 ≈ 1111). P(no mythic) = (1 − 0.001)^1111 ≈ 0.33—about one in three players still miss a mythic, matching their warning at ~01:04.

Slot-to-unit mapping follows Vaulted Values X chapter one (~02:07–04:11): bottom pair Cameraman plus Brown Cameraman or Car Speakerman; rare TV Man or Popcorn Cameraman; epic Large Cameraman, Large Speakerman, Large TV Man, Camera Helicopter; legendary Ninja Cameraman, Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Laser Cameraman Car; mythic Titan Cinemaman, Upgraded Titan Speakerman, Glitch Cameraman, Upgraded Brute Prototype, Upgraded Video Tapper Prototype.

Titan Cinemaman is the mythic-slot unit with a readable stat card in our frames. MeddysonTD’s Units card (~565s in his TV Woman video) lists Mythic · AoE, DPS 500→7000, Range 13→30, and a 3.32k Exists snapshot—a live count, not a drop rate:

How do you get the Woman Crate units?

Vaulted Values X says the Woman Crate cannot be bought with coins—it drops after wins with rates they read as 2% / 4% / 6% / 10% on Easy / Normal / Hard / Insane (~04:43), matching the crate bonus lines on our difficulty modes page. Inside the crate they report Dark Camerawoman 78%, Speakerwoman 20%, TV Woman 2%.

Our arithmetic (Insane): 10% win drop × 2% TV Woman inside ≈ 0.2% per Insane win → about 1 TV Woman per 500 Insane wins on average (0.1 × 0.02 = 0.002). Drop math and burning AoE notes are on the TV Woman guide.

How do gems and the Spider Crate work?

Vaulted Values X says gems come from quests after 20 wins, 5 gems each, four quests on the board (~20 gems per full board). Spider Crate pricing: 100 gems per pull, 1,000 gems for ten—no ten-pull discount unlike coins (~06:17).

Shop UI frames (MeddysonTD) show 90% / 9.8% / 0.2% on the Exclusive Spider Crate board:

Screenshot source: MeddysonTD on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv4SgTBFMWU&t=70s).

Vaulted Values X maps those rows to Speaker Spider, Camera Spider, and TV Spider respectively. Our arithmetic: TV Spider at 0.2% expects 500 pulls × 100 gems = 50,000 gems (~2,500 full quest boards at 20 gems each; 500 × 100 = 50,000). See the gems guide and TV Spider unit page for quest routing and pull strategy.

Which units are paid-only, and which paid units are also in the crate?

Scientist Crate (Robux): Vaulted Values X and shop footage align on Scientist Cameraman 89%, Large Scientist Cameraman 10%, Engineer Cameraman 1%.

Jetpack Pack: Vaulted Values X says Jetpack Cameraman only comes from its paid pack (bundle includes 1,000 coins and two boosts in their narration). Menzi shop footage shows 199 Robux:

Screenshot source: Menzi on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uanOCZWvcXQ&t=328s).

Update Units Pack (99 Robux) on the shop guide lists Popcorn Cameraman, Camera Helicopter, and Laser Cameraman Car—all three also rotate on the basic coin crate, so Robux is optional if those epics or legendaries are in your live slots.

Prototype paid pack: Glitch Cameraman, Upgraded Brute Prototype, and Upgraded Video Tapper Prototype ship together in a Robux bundle Vaulted Values X says, but all three also appear in the mythic coin slot—they advise checking the mythic slot before paying (~08:52).

Which unit left the crate?

Vaulted Values X says Titan TV Man (legendary) was not in any of 15 basic crate lineups they read from the prior week and is not in the shop (~07:51). It used to sit in the basic legendary slot before a late-September lobby update in their timeline. They note it may return on a future rotation but warn against hoarding coins waiting for it.

Naming trap: Vaulted Values X treats TV Man (cheap rare basic-crate filler) and Titan TV Man (legendary, 2,000 DPS in their tier talk, ~16,000 cash to max) as different units. Our TV Man unit page documents Menzi’s Titan TV Man stat card ($1000 placement)—do not merge those rows when planning pulls.

Where should you spend coins first?

Vaulted Values X recommends (~08:52–09:24): check the mythic slot before buying the prototype Robux pack; pull in 10s; only summon when the legendary or mythic slot shows a unit you want; starters Ninja Cameraman plus economy Popcorn Cameraman from the basic crate; for Insane without a mythic, Laser Cameraman Car or Speakerwoman (Woman Crate) from their win samples; play Insane for coins and Woman Crate drops; spend gems on Camera Spider and treat TV Spider as a long-shot lottery.

Editorial suggestion (untested): Pair those coin habits with coins and economy payout tables before chasing 0.1% mythics.
