These are parallel timelines, not one correct route. Empty cells mean the creator never showed that milestone in the footage we reviewed.

What should you buy first, according to the runs?
Shared pattern (two creators): both CruffyTD and KAPTOH_TD episode 1 rush the Basic Crate once lobby Coins exist—100 per single and 900 for ten on the board KAPTOH opens (15s frame lists 49.9% / 30% / 15% / 4% / 1% down to Titan Speakerman).
CruffyTD-only: he prioritizes permanent 2X Speed over Double Luck because he only had 200 Robux (0:30 narration). That choice shows up later when Desert Easy pays 300 total instead of the 100 base line on the voting card (difficulty modes).
KAPTOH_TD-only: episode 1 burns 900 coins on a 10× summon that yields no upgrades (2:20 narration), then pivots to trading for a TV Man—see all units for where TV Man sits in the roster, not repeated here.
Gamz_Tree-only (frame): part 1 never opens the lobby crate on-screen; the player spams Large Cameraman placements instead (40s frame).

When do you move up from Easy to Hard to Insane?
CruffyTD climbs Easy → Normal → Hard/Nightmare → Insane inside one upload. CruffyTD says he picks Normal on Toilet City once Basic Cameraman and Car Speakerman replace the starter Speakerman (2:32–3:04 narration). His Insane push happens only after a stranger donates Large Scientist Cameraman, Camera Helicopter, and related units (7:07–7:37 narration)—a social boost, not a solo gear check.
KAPTOH_TD episode 1 jumps to Hard early (1:33 narration) but episode 3 waits until two Titan Cameraman legendaries drop from a 10× batch (1:02 narration) before voting Insane with Large Cameraman on the field (5:35 narration). Episode 3 is a sequel run (pre-farmed coins), not a from-scratch timeline. For wave expectations on Hard, use the dedicated Hard mode guide; for Insane economy, see how to beat Insane mode.
Gamz_Tree documents a long Normal/Easy-style grind to wave 35 on one DPS tower—no difficulty card appears in kept frames.

What unlocks along the way (quests, gems, double speed)?
Documented gates from published CTD Tips pages plus these runs:
| Unlock | Source we cite | Seen in these runs? |
|---|---|---|
| Codes after 3 wins | How to redeem codes | CruffyTD tries codes at 3 wins but reports them expired (5:06 narration) |
| Quests after 20 wins | Gems guide (Vaulted Values X narration) | KAPTOH ep 3 collects quest gems off-camera (1:32 narration) and offers 25 gems in trades (7:53 narration)—end lobby HUD still reads 0 gems (651s frame) |
| Double game speed at 200 wins | TV Woman page citing Vaulted Values X tier-list narration | Not reached in any kept run |
We did not verify other win-count gates from aggregator sites.
What mistakes do the creators call out?
CruffyTD wonders whether he should have picked Normal sooner while enemies slip past his Car Speakerman (3:04 narration) and then announces the “first leak of the day” on Normal (3:34 narration). After 3 wins he tries the lobby codes and finds them expired (5:06 narration), and the Nightmare run in which he is gifted units is played alongside a stranger (7:07 narration).
KAPTOH_TD treats the episode 1 10× summon (900 coins) as a whiff (2:20 narration) and spends much of episode 3 negotiating Titan Cameraman trades, cancelling offers he judges too low—for example Titan Speakerman “cheaper in currencies than Titan Cameraman” (2:32–4:35 narration).
Gamz_Tree / G0ldPX: no usable creator commentary in our sources—skip “if I restarted” advice for those two.
Which units do the runs end up with?
| Creator | Units highlighted at the end | Tier-list context |
|---|---|---|

| KAPTOH_TD ep 3 | Speaker Woman (3,500 DPS quoted in narration), Titan TV Man, Large Cameraman, Popcorn Cameraman hotbar (8:23 narration) | Speaker Woman crate odds on the TV Woman unit page |

Lucky 10× pulls (our arithmetic)
KAPTOH episode 3 narrates two Legendary Titan Cameraman drops in one 10× batch. The episode 1 Basic Crate board lists the top 1% line as Titan Speakerman (15s frame)—we use p = 0.01 as the legendary-tier rate for our arithmetic only (not a guarantee the rolled unit name matches that row). 1 − (0.99)^10 ≈ 9.56% chance of at least one legendary in ten independent slots. Hitting two in one batch is far rarer—KAPTOH presents it as exceptional luck, not a plan.
