FAQ

What are TV Spider's stats on the unit card?
MeddysonTD’s inventory card at ~60s lists Exclusive AoE, Damage 250→2000, Cooldown 2→0.2, DPS 125→10000, Walk Range 15→40, Range 11→20, plus an Exists snapshot of 64. Confirm live numbers on your Units screen after patches.
What is TV Spider's drop rate from the Spider Crate?
Shop UI and Vaulted Values X both describe a 0.2% row on the Exclusive Spider Crate—about one pull in 500 per open, not a pity timer. Confirm odds on your Shop screen before spending gems.
How many gems does TV Spider cost on average?
Vaulted Values X narrates ~500 opens at 100 gems each (~50000 gems) for the 0.2% line. Our arithmetic on at-least-one odds uses 1-(0.998)^n; see the gems guide for the full table—we do not guarantee your pull count.
What range does TV Spider actually attack?
MeddysonTD’s card separates Walk Range 15→40 from Range 11→20. Vaulted Values X says the 40 figure is walking, with attacks reaching 20—treat attack Range as the combat circle, not Walk Range.
Can TV Spider solo Insane mode?
No solo sample is documented here. MeddysonTD stacks multiple TV Spiders with support towers on Insane tests; Vaulted Values X says they had not found an Insane win with TV Spider when their unit guide published. Treat both as creator-scoped footage, not verified here.
How many TV Spiders can you place at once?
MeddysonTD hits a red “You reached placement limit for TV Spider! (6)” banner at ~242s. At max panel (~234s) he reports 10000 DPS each; our arithmetic 6×10000=60000 DPS matches his narration if every copy is fully upgraded.

What is TV Spider in Cameraman Tower Defense?

TV Spider is an Exclusive AoE spider-legged TV unit tied to Update 3’s Exclusive Spider Crate (gem pricing on the shop and crates guide). This page mixes MeddysonTD’s clean gameplay frames from Getting 0.2% TV SPIDER… with Vaulted Values X (VVX) narration from How To Get Every Unit and Tier List After Update 3—no Vaulted Values X screenshots (burned-in subtitles). Card numbers are frame readouts; pull math is our arithmetic where noted; win stories are creator claims. We have not re-tested any of it in-game.

How do you get TV Spider?

Exclusive Spider Crate is the documented source: 0.2% on the third rarity row in Shop captures, with 100 / 300 / 1000 gems for 1 / 3 / 10 opens (shop and crates). Vaulted Values X says Camera Spider is the 9.8% line and TV Spider is 0.2%, averaging 500 tries × 100 gems ≈ 50,000 gems—their math, not a pity system.

Our arithmetic (at least one TV Spider in n independent 0.2% opens): using p = 0.2% and 1-(1-p)^n:

Target chance Opens n (rounded up) Gems at 100/open
50% 347 34,700
90% 1,151 115,100
99% 2,301 230,100

MeddysonTD says similar milestones in closing voiceover (~542s): about 347 opens for 50%, above 1,000 for 90%, and above 2.3 thousand for near-guarantee—close to our numbers in the table above, though not identical wording. MeddysonTD also says the Shop blocked Buy 10 on Spider crates but allowed Buy 3 in his session (~271s narration)—UI may differ now.

For where every unit drops (basic crate, Woman Crate, paid Scientist line, packs), use the all units guide. For gem income and probability tables, see the gems guide—we do not invent quest payouts here beyond VVX’s five gems per quest mention.

MeddysonTD’s opinion (~528s): the rarest exclusives feel Robux-only to him because gems were scarce that week. Vaulted Values X still routes TV Spider through the gem Spider Crate in How To Get Every Unit—treat free paths as partially documented, not settled.

How strong is TV Spider at max level?

MeddysonTD says a fully upgraded TV Spider hits 2000 damage, 0.2s cooldown, a 180° sector, and 10,000 DPS (~210s narration). Frames back the climb:

  • Level 4 (~178s, ~220s): the scrolling panel shows Damage 800, Range 17, Walk Range 27, Cooldown 0.8, and 1000 DPS, which fits 800 ÷ 0.8 s = 1,000 and his mid-run “0.8 seconds / 800 damage” voiceover. The upgrade button reads $5,000.
  • Level 6 (~390s, ~450s): Damage 1250 (+750), Range 20, Walk Range 34 (+6), and a $16,000 upgrade button. The ~450s frame is Wave 45 of the Desert run, where the boss line shows 117,600 HP.
  • Max panel (~234s): UI labels Level 7 with a Max Level button, Walk Range 40, Cooldown 0.2, and DPS 10,000. Level 7 is the cap on screen.

Placement limit: a red banner reads “You reached placement limit for TV Spider! (6)” (~242s). MeddysonTD says six maxed copies would be 60,000 DPS (~240s)—our arithmetic: 6 × 10,000 = 60,000 if each copy matches the max panel.

In the Toilet City sandbox run, the stacked spiders fire wide purple beams at Wave 49 (~390s, shortly before MeddysonTD says “We won” at about 06:31); the panel in that frame is the Level 6 readout listed above.

Editorial suggestion (untested): pair TV Spider with Scientist Cameraman for donations or Engineer for spawns if your account lacks economy—MeddysonTD’s double-HP Insane Desert test narrates Engineer alongside spiders, while Wave 45 frames show Scientist donations in the same run.

Can TV Spider beat Insane mode?

MeddysonTD’s first Insane test on the opening warehouse map stacks multiple TV Spiders, sells filler units before Wave 50, and calls it an ~8-minute hardest-difficulty win in voiceover (~240s)—we lack a matching victory popup for that leg, so treat timing as narration, not pixel proof.

Documented win screen (~475s): Map Desert, Mode Insane, Clear Time 07:47, Total 3360 lobby coins. Visible reward lines include Match Won 600, Friend Boost (+10%) 60, and Modifiers 900; a scrollbar on the list means other rows sit off-screen—we do not treat those three lines as the full breakdown. MeddysonTD narrates the same run as Insane Desert with double-HP enemies, using TV Spiders plus Engineer (~421–475s)—support units are narration, not fully readable on the popup alone. Wave 45 footage shows a Big Boss Toilet at 117,600 HP against a TV Spider line (~450s), with Scientist Cameraman donation text on-screen.

Vaulted Values X says in How To Get Every Unit (~6:47, Spider Crate chapter) they had not found an Insane win with TV Spider yet, while still calling 10,000 damage a second the highest on-card DPS they had read. Both can be true: sample timing and loadouts differ. For comparison, Titan Cinemaman shows 7000 max DPS on Menzi’s mythic card, and how to beat Insane mode collects community Insane routes—neither transfers automatically to a gem mythic you may never pull.

How many TV Spiders exist?

Exists counts are live snapshots, not market supply:

Source Exists readout Notes
MeddysonTD card ~60s 64 Same frame as stat table
MeddysonTD voice ~90s 67 After opening Units list
VVX tier list ~30s 14 Tier List After Update 3—“launch day” card in their recording

MeddysonTD says the number is memorable because the unit is ultra-rare—we do not track Exists over time. Check your own Units search after major updates (update log).

Is TV Spider worth chasing?

Vaulted Values X advises treating Camera Spider (9.8%) as the realistic gem goal and TV Spider as a lottery ticket—“only chase TV spider if you’re happy to lose” (~9:24 in How To Get Every Unit). MeddysonTD’s failed gem opening montage (~480–632s) underscores variance at 0.2%—dozens of Speaker Spider commons, no TV Spider pull on camera.

On paper, 10,000 DPS beats Menzi’s Titan TV Man card (2000 max DPS, labeled Titan TV Man on his stat panel) and rivals Titan Cinemaman (7000 on Menzi’s mythic card), but cost is gems + $400 placements + steep upgrade buttons (e.g., $600 first upgrade on Level 1 panel ~129s, $5,000 on Level 4 panels ~178s/~220s). Editorial suggestion (untested): chase only if you already stabilize Insane income (difficulty modes, coins and economy) and accept that Menzi’s tier list Update 3 gap note still excludes Spider Crate exclusives from his fifteen-unit board—use dedicated unit pages for TV Spider and TV Woman instead.

  • All units and sources — crate, gem, Robux, and win-drop map in one place.
  • Gems guide — Spider Crate math and quest context.
  • Shop and crates — 90% / 9.8% / 0.2% board plus gem bundle prices.
  • TV Woman — the 2% Woman Crate mythic for comparison (different crate entirely).
