Cameraman Tower Defense Insane Mode Guide — Solo & Cheapest

How to beat Insane mode in Cameraman Tower Defense: portrait’s cheapest solo TCM route vs Yahaha’s Titan ladder—50 waves, community video steps only.

FAQ

How many waves are in Cameraman Tower Defense Insane mode?
The Insane voting card lists 50 waves and 600 Coins in captures on the difficulty modes guide. Both portrait and Yahaha play through Wave 50 in their recordings.
What is the cheapest solo Insane mode strategy?
portrait’s edit labels the run cheapest solo: it opens with a level 2 Large Speakerman, turns Auto Skip on for Waves 1–33, then focuses on six maxed Titan Cameramen before swapping in Large TV Men. Yahaha instead saves cash for Titan Speakerman by Wave 4—different unit tiers, not a strict upgrade path.
Should you use Auto Skip on Insane mode?
portrait keeps Auto Skip on through Wave 33 in on-screen text. Yahaha’s overlay tells viewers to stop Auto Skip at Wave 47 before the late boss—treat that as creator timing, not an official rule.
Do you need Scientist Cameraman for Insane mode?
Yahaha’s late footage shows a row of Scientist Cameramen feeding cash while Titans fight Camo Toilets. portrait’s cheapest-solo video does not center Scientist economy—bring Scientists only if you mirror Yahaha’s cash loop.
How do these routes handle shield or camo toilets?
Yahaha’s Wave 39 capture shows Camo Toilet enemies on the path with AoE Titan TV Man fire. portrait’s on-screen steps show standard and armored toilet swarms but no separate glasses callout—bring your own anti-shield tools if your roster struggles.

How do you beat Insane mode in Cameraman Tower Defense?

Vote Insane (50 waves, 600 lobby Coins, Legendary+ hint on the card), then follow a full-route video—not a mixed checklist. We do not repeat the Easy→Insane payout table; see difficulty modes for wave counts and Coin lines. For lobby basics first, read the beginner guide. If Hard mode is still rough, start with the Hard mode guide before jumping to 50 waves.

portrait and Yahaha each solo 50 waves on the same brick-path map style. Their plans diverge early: portrait chases a low-slot Titan Cameraman core with Large TV Man support, while Yahaha sells the starter and climbs Titan Speakerman → Titan Cameraman → TV Man (Titan TV Man on card) with a Scientist Cameraman bank. For a three-slot timed clear, see the Insane speedrun guide.

What does portrait’s “cheapest solo” Insane route look like?

portrait’s video carries a facecam watermark and burned-in tutorial text on every frame, so this page does not use screenshots from that source—the step list below follows the on-screen text and panels in the video:

  1. Wave 1: place one level 2 Large Speakerman (0s).
  2. Turn Auto Skip on for Waves 1–33 (autoskip w1-33 overlay).
  3. Build toward six maxed Titan Cameramen—first TCM placement shows level 1 with $700 upgrade on panel around Wave 7 / ~100s; mid-run panels show level 4 with $2,500 upgrade at Wave 35 / ~680s.
  4. Around Wave 31, sell the Large Speakerman and place one maxed Large TV Man (~620s).
  5. Waves 34–39: add three more maxed Titan Cameramen (place 3 more maxed tcm).
  6. Waves 40–46: add five maxed Large TV Men for swarm waves (~840s).
  7. Waves 47–50: fill toward 15/15 units and wait out the final boss line (wait till you win :) at Wave 50 / ~940s).

Editorial suggestion (untested): If you lack portrait’s exact legendaries, compare DPS and placement costs on the unit tier list and best units pages before substituting units.

How does Yahaha’s Titan ladder Insane route differ?

Yahaha’s on-screen chapter text (same source video as the screenshots below) breaks the run into cash-save phases:

Phase (overlay text) Creator action
Waves 1–4 Place starter, save for Titan Speakerman (TSM)
Waves 4–13 Place TSM and max twice
Waves 14–22 Sell starter, place Titan Cameraman (TCM), max twice
Waves 22–30 Place Titan TV Man (TTM) and max
Waves 30–35 Place two TSM and max
Waves 35–40 Place another TTM and max
Waves 41–45 Place TCM and max three times
Waves 45–50 Place TSM three times, stop Auto Skip at Wave 47

Early economy: Yahaha still shows $257 cash on Wave 3 while saving (45s). By Wave 9, a level 4 Titan Speakerman panel lists $1,500 upgrade, 500 damage, 22 range (130s).

Mid transition: at Wave 17, Yahaha’s Titan Cameraman sits at level 4 with $2,500 upgrade and 300 damage while two Titan Speakermen cover the loop (220s).

Wave 22 adds Titan TV Man at level 1 for $1,000 upgrade on the panel (280s)—Yahaha’s overlay calls this the Wave 22–30 TV Man max phase.

When should you add economy towers on Insane?

Yahaha’s Wave 31 intermission shows Wave Cleared! +$1000 with $215 cash before spending on the next Titan Speakerman upgrade (400s). Later, Wave 39 frames show a Scientist Cameraman row behind level 5 Titan TV Man (500 damage, $5,000 upgrade) while Camo Toilet enemies push the path (520s).

For how Scientist donations scale, pair this with Scientist Cameraman and coins and economy. portrait’s cheapest route instead relies on Auto Skip income early—Yahaha’s screenshots are where the Scientist row appears.

What changes for the Wave 47–50 boss stretch?

Yahaha’s overlay explicitly says stop Auto Skip at Wave 47. The Wave 48 capture shows Dual Toilet 3.0 at 117,765 / 150,000 HP with 13/15 units placed and $1,615 cash (740s). An earlier Wave 47 frame in the same video shows Boss Toilet 2.5 at 112,500 / 306,000 HP—boss names and pools differ between back-to-back waves in one recording, so read the bar on your run.

portrait’s finale keeps 15/15 units and heavy Large TV Man beams on the last toilet (Wave 50 / ~940s). If you need mythic-scale AoE for your own roster, the Titan Cinemaman page documents that unit separately from the Titan Cameraman units these videos place.

Which Insane route should you pick?

If you… Consider
Want the video titled cheapest solo portrait’s TCM + Large TV Man plan with long Auto Skip (0OrlS37UfNs)
Already run Titan Speakerman / TV Man legends Yahaha’s phased max ladder plus Scientist row (MKNoYVFalzo)
Need Engineer spawns or codes cash Engineer and all codes—neither video treats them as required

Win 600 lobby Coins on the vote card when you clear—spend them via shop and crates or stack codes when active, same as other modes in coins and economy.
